Fitbit Ionic Adidas Wifi setting is off & now wont turn on

Using a Fitbit Ionic Adidas Edition I previously could connect to my wifi & I successfully loaded music files a few times. Recently I got an update notification but using the same method (PC Win10 App+Bluetooth+Wifi) I see that the wifi I used before is visible but the ionic wont connect when the app tried to do so. When I check the Ionic device under settings for wifi, it shows that the wifi is set to OFF. I dont have any option to switch this setting to on & so all attempts to connect to wifi is useless. Ive tried removing & setting up the device again, forget the bluetooth & connect again. These are successful until it tries to connect to wifi.

Can anyone please help me? I think turning on the wifi on the device will solve this but I dont know how.

Sure you have the option @ClaudeA.

Plug on the ionics powered up charger and the wifi turns on. Unplug and the wifi turns off

That works, kinda, when its not dropping the connection intermittently. Thanks! So far it hasn't solved my solution to connect to my wifi which I initially set up successfully.
