Fitbit Ionic Auto Wake not working

I cannot get my Fitbit Ionic to "wake up" when I turn my wrist.  I have already messed with the settings and turned on "auto" under "screen wake" under settings.  I have tried turning the watch off and power on a few times and have factory reset twice.  Nothing has worked.
