Worst service I’ve ever experience. My girlfriend showered yesterday with her Fitbit ionic she’s had over a year now and has been very hesitant on using it in water even though this product is suppose to be “ water resistant” but today upon trying to plug it in it won’t start. The Fitbit sensors has condensation inside. Called and Fitbit said to put it in rice. She paid 300$ for a water resistant device that isn’t water resistant. This is sad to see. After a year they won’t help since it’s a year warranty. My problem is, is that you sold a product promising one thing but it doesn’t even do what you promised. It’s sad to see that a company who buys other smart watch company’s can’t even hold up on there quality control. Will never purchase a Fitbit product again, wouldn’t even recommend to a friend. Stick with pebbles

@Vilhine Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation your girlfriend is experiencing with Ionic getting condensation on the sensors. Thanks for contacting customer support regarding this issue and for providing your feedback.
By any chance, did the rice tip worked? If not, I'd highly recommend contacting them back informing that the steps didn't helped. That way, they can check what other options can offer to help your girlfriend get back on track.
Let me know the outcome!

Yep. Many report condensation and screens popping right off. Can completely understand you never purchasing another Fitbit device or even recommending to a friend. Am also in a similar position. The device is simply too flaky.
The “biggest concern” with almost everyone posting is the reliability of the defective after the warranty expires. Too bad but this Brand now has the reputation of many devices dying just after 12 months.
Nice looking screen is the pro. But so many “unresolved known issues” is the con. My first one was replaced after about a week. So was junk.
