Fitbit Ionic HR monitor malfunctioning

Recently my Ionic has been showing HRs of 120-190 whether at rest or in motion. I've checked my HR manually at times when it's very high and I generally get a result of about half.

I wear it snugly, clean the sensors, and I've reset the device multiple times and calibrated the sensor. I just turned off/on the HR setting on the Ionic, and it seems to be reading normally for now...

Any suggestions on what could be causing this? I've installed the most recent firmware update as well.

Thanks!

@HandyHenry Welcome to the Community. Thanks for sharing detailed information about what you're experiencing with your Ionic's heart rate data.

I appreciate that you mentioned you're wearing it snugly and the restarts performed. I've noticed you've followed the tips on this article. Since you mentioned that your Ionic seems to be reading the heart rate normally at the moment, please continue monitoring it.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
