Fitbit Ionic Hangs occassionaly

I really like my Ionic, but three times now it has just hung and displays the fitbit logo

 

It does come back to life, but it's annoying since I lose the record of the exercise (or its split into two when it restarts)

 

Is this a known issue and is there any "fix" ?

Ok thank you, so a replacement wont help ?

 

It's seems something related to Bluetooth, but thats just a guess

Very unlikely. I started noticing that after last December update. Ionic restarts randomly and if it happens during the workout then, like you said, it divides the activity. At least, it isn't lost like in the case of another known issue - crashing exercise app 😉 Although, the restart happened only 2-3 times when I was recording activity so wasn't too bugging me. All other occurences happened during regular use of watch. I believe next FW may fix this issue.
