Fitbit Ionic Heart Rate 50 beats higher than actual

Having a problem recently where my fitbit is showing my heart rate in the 100-120 range while at rest. A quick manual check on my wrist or rebooting the device will show it's closer to 55. However after a few minutes it will start spiking erratically again until I reboot. As such, it shows me as working out 8 hours today (closer to 2.5), extremely inflating my calories burned. Have rebooted 15 times now and tried several wrist positions/tightness.

Anyway to correct this?

Having a similar problem although mine seems to read fine during the day. During exercise it goes nuts. Today, while walking on a treadmill (2.5mph, 4% incline) it showed a max bpm of 204. At age 66, I should have passed out, but never had a problem. Additionally, on the dashboard here is showed a 140 max.

What's up?
