I've had a Fitbit Ionic for the last 6 months and very recently I have noticed that the Heart Rate Monitor was failing to read my heart rate for extended periods of time. The problem occurs at random times and regardless of battery charge level. I am on Firmware version 27.32.10.20.
I have tried shutting down the watch as well as a factory reset and neither of these has corrected the issue. Is there anything else I can try? Thanks for your help!

Has the Ionic been in water? Either way, if the light is noticeably dimmer and HR readings inconsistent you may have a hardware issue requiring a call to customer services.

It has only been in the water infrequently and never at any depth. I called support and they had me reset the device even though I had already done so before calling them. It was unfortunately a colossal waste of time as the problem persists. Calling support again today.

This sounds similar to an issue that I am having also. Did you ever get it resolved?
