Hi, I'm with a problem with my fitbit ionic. Every time I have a shower my watch starts activities, enters in apps alone. I think there is a problem with the touch screen. Do I have to turn off some sensor? If someone have a solution I will be very grateful.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Rafaeluere, hope you're doing great! Hmmm... this is strange my friend. Are you still experiencing this? If so, I'd recommend restarting your Fitbit Ionic by following these steps:
Let me know the outcome, I'll be around!

I have the same thing happen with mine on a regular basis. Per the default "fix" from Fitbit for pretty much every issue, I restart my Ionic regularly. It hasn't fixed the issue.

Hey there @Jess_B, thanks for stopping by! Sorry to hear that your Fitbit Ionic is logging activities while you take a shower. I appreciate you've taken the time to restart your Fitbit in order to fix this.
So I can further investigate this inconvenience, can you please let me know what kind of activity is logging your Fitbit Ionic? Is it walk? workout?
I'd like to know since when you started having this kind of issue?
Also, please attach me screen shots of you activity history/recent exercise section so I can go from there.
Looking forward to your response!

The water hitting the screen causes "button pushes" that would start an exercise, or check the weather app, or something like that. It's like I'm pressing buttons or using the screen to navigate but I'm not actually touching the screen, the water is.

Thanks for those details @Jess_B.
Can you please let me know what kind of activity is logging your Fitbit Ionic? When you check your activity history/recent exercise, what's the name of the activity logged while you were taking a shower? Provide me with the screen shots so I can see what's logged.
You started having this inconvenience recently? Did it start after the latest firmware update or so?
Catch you later!

I can't give you a screen shot or tell you what activity was logged, because it hasn't actually gotten to the point of logging an activity before I have caught it and set it back to the "home" screen. The touch screen is being activated by the water hitting it, and the water hitting the touchscreen is opening the various apps and activities, which should not happen. I noticed it in the last month or so, but it may have been happening for a while without me noticing, I don't usually pay much attention to my watch in the shower.

The touchscreen indeed seems sensitive to water. I think it's because water conducts electricity like your skin does. This isn't exclusive to the Fitbit Ionic btw, I've seen it happen to other devices in the water as well. Even on the expensive dedicated sports watches like the Suunto Spartan, although you're able to disable touch on that watch for certain activities like swimming.
Having said that, why would you want to wear the Ionic while in the shower? The sweat and exfoliation of your wrist can kind of accumulate under your Ionic and band, causing all kinds of issues over time (think funny smell, rashes, etc) That's why I always take mine off while in the shower and give the skin a good rinse and a breather. 😉

I take it off and put it on the charger when I’m at home. If I’m at the pool, boathouse, or gym I don’t take it off.
