Fitbit Ionic in salt water

Hi all,
I currently have a fitbit Blaze and am looking to upgrade to the Ionic before traveling overseas for 2 months this year. I know the website says water resistant to 50m and to rinse with fresh water to clean off salt - but can any users let me know their experiences before I pay $300?

Thanks,

Jaime

@jaimeelizabeth_ It's great to see you in the Fitbit forums! Thanks for your interest in getting an Ionic and swimming with it.

Ionic is water resistant up to 50 meters for use in the pool, ocean, shower or rain. It is recommended rinsing off the salt water after an ocean dip to prevent salt buildup, as with any other device.

I was able to find this thread in which some users shared their experiences with Ionic and salt water. Hopefully we can get more recent user experience replies on this thread.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
