I love my ionic. I love how beautiful the screen is and how wonderful it encourage me to move more. Fitbit pay allows me to keep my wallet at home. music on watch means I can leave my phone behind to jog. Everything seems great.. except the notification is just not stable.
I was a happy pebble time steel user. and the stable bluetooth connection just means that I can keep my phone near me and be assured that my watch alerts me on the incoming messages. I felt confident with pebble on my wrist that I will not miss any message.
Coming over to Ionic, I am unsure. At times, I do receive message popup and others no. It got so bad that I put my ionic in my pocket as a tracker and continue wearing my pebble. Recently, i installed a clock face "Essential watch" because it has this bluetooth indicator icon to warn me that the bluetooth connection is cut off. True enough, I still cannot get a strong bluetooth connection.
I am quite lost with ionic. I am using a Sony Xperia XZ p with android software 8.0.0. I still want to believe that Ionic can do better with the bluetooth connection but I do not know how. Fitbit software does constantly pop up the persistent notification message which I did follow the steps closely.
Am I the only one experience it? Anyone managed to solve the issue. Sorry for the long message. Thank you for reading and looking into this.

It's nice to see you around the forums @Naiguang! You don't need to worry about your long message, despite your concern about not getting the notifications on your Fitbit, I liked the way you express how you feel about wearing the Ionic and how you're enjoying its features. I love mine as well!
My friend @NellyG highlighted the main cause of not getting notifications on your tracker. The Sony Xperia XZ is not compatible device with the Fitbit app.
Which means that our Android team has not yet tested it for compatibility and added it to the list what means that we don't have a estimated date on when it will be added. If the device supports BLE (AKA Bluetooth 4.0), that would be an explanation of why you could be able to setup and sync your Ionic with the XZ. So, you can try the tips on the following help article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.
I'd like to mention, just to be sure, that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance. The developer team is aware of the need to add new devices to the list of compatible devices.
Hope the steps work. Don't hesitate to get back to us if you have any questions!

Sorry you are having problems with your notifications. I looked at the Supported Devices List and unfortunately cant see your phone there so that is probably why the bluetooth connection is patchy. There is not much I can suggest except to try restarting your Ionic and your phone's bluetooth and see if that helps.
