Fitbit Ionic - miles don’t add up to steps

If approximately 2000 steps is a mile why don’t the steps reflect that many miles

Hi @Justgokathi the Fitbit uses the gender and height to determine the stride. Some taller people would have fewer steps to reach one mile than those with a shorter stride. Each person varies in how many steps are needed to make one mile.
