Fitbit Ionic no longer syncing with Samsung Phone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Samsung S7 and had no issues with my Ionic syncing to my phone until this past Saturday-9 FEB 19.  I've restarted both devices, have managed the Bluetooth settings on my phone, re-installed the Fitbit application on my phone, and tried to connect my watch to my PC as well with no luck.  I'd like to avoid doing a factory reset on my device or completely removing it from my Fitbit profile, but not really sure what I should do next.  Any thoughts are appreciated.

A warm welcome to the Community @mami1532! I appreciate the details that you've mentioned as well for the troubleshooting that you've performed.

I know you've tried some troubleshooting before contacting us but I would like you to perform each step by step mentioned on this article. If you're able to sync then confirm that you have the latest firmware version, if not then try the steps on this article.

Hope this helps! Let me know the outcome.

Mines not syncing either. I’ve tried with Windows and iOS devices. I’ve been through every single troubleshooting step including factory reset. Still nothing.

My iPhone sees it, but will only sync during a new device set up. I even get phone notifications, but it’s not syncing data.

I can set it up as a New Device with Windows and it will sync during setup, but after that Windows can’t find it.

I am currently waiting for a response from customer service.

Unfortunately, my Ionic died on me after I conducted the factory reset as a last ditch effort to troubleshoot the issue.  It was going through the reset process and then powered down.  After charging it for several hours it still did not power on.  I conducted a chat with customer service and they're sending me a new one due to still qualifying for the 1-year warranty.

I have a Galaxy S7.  According to the Fitbit app mine quit syncing on Tuesday.  I have tried syncing on both my phone and PC.  I also replaced the Bluetooth dongle on my pc, still not syncing.  I am afraid to try a factory reset in case it just dies completely.  I've done all the other steps listed.

With all the other issues (exercise tracking stopping, inaccurate GPS for running, heart rate all over the place, improper tracking of treadmill and elliptical training) I want a replacement!

This happened to mine. I've just received my 'replacement' which is just a reconditioned interface which has 3 dents in it. Don't expect a new one!
