About a week ago while I was on vacation my Fitbit Iconic suddenly stopped working. I went back to my room and attempted to charge it and the Fitbit logo came up on the screen just as if it were updating. However it never updated and just quit working and wasn't taking any charge. When I returned home I got onto my computer and began looking for solutions and tried all of the below:
•Use a different outlet
•Ensure the golden tips are touching
•Check to see if the USB is faulty
•Hold power button 12 seconds wait then hold it again
•Leave it charging untouched for a large period of time (I did 48 hours) and it usually only takes 2 hours to charge
•More I can't quiet recall
After about 2 hours of research and days of testing I eventually gave into the popular idea that the Fitbit Iconic is dying out on customers who got it in 2017. I personally am very sad to hear multiple people saying this was the case for them, because I have owned multiple Fitbit devices over the years and am sad that it is no longer living up to the standards I once thought Fitbit's easily surpassed.
My hope is that all of this is wrong and there is something I am missing, but if it is right I am very ashamed of you Fitbit.

So true mines just died today, I placed it on the charger to charge and it is now stuck on the update screen but nothing has happened. I called Customer Care which we attempted to reboot and hard rest...NOTHING. I am soooo disappointed now I have no watch at all. Customer Care offered 40% off a new one cause it is out of warranty but it seems that we have a "bad" batch of watches that this is occurring.......
