Fitbit Ionic not playing music properly

Hello, I am trying to run music from my Ionic via a Bluetooth headset. The music is playing with a "break" every 5 seconds. Not able to listen to music continuously. The "breaks" are extremely irritating and ruin the rhythm of running.

My Bluetooth headset is not pairs with any other device.

Plz help, since on-board music was a key reason for choosing ionic.

I know this issue has been going on for some time and it seems fitbit still have fixed the issue. I don't believe the problem is peoples earbuds etc and the reason for this is I have used two different earbuds streaming from my phone with no problems at all, I believe its the Bluetooth within the Ionic. I went out this morning and the breaks were so bad. If I put my watch near my ear it worked fine but who can run like that? The Bluetooth connection should be able to work at arms length but it doesn't. I give up and finished my run with them in my pocket. Come on Fitbit get this sorted.
