Hi, I have a fitbit ionic, but it won’t charge. It has died and I can’t get it to turn back on. I have had it for a few months, but it just suddenly stopped. I would very much appreciate an opinion on what to do. Thanks 🙂

It's great to see you around @Hami55. Thanks for the details mentioned.
Please try restarting your Ionic and follow the extra troubleshooting mentioned in this article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Like I said before it is not only not charging; it is also just dead, which results in not being able to do anything with it

I paid $285 to purchase a Fitbit Ionic in January 2018 and it just completely died and stopped working this summer. I called Fitbit to see if they could help me. They said my device was outside of their 12 month warranty and told me there was nothing they could do. I was shocked that Fitbit didn't offer to try to repair it. I can't believe that I paid this much money for a watch that lasted 1.5 years. I've previously owned multiple Fitbits devices but after this experience they've lost me as a customer. I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure others don't make the same mistake I did in buying this device. I'm planning to write the Fitbit Management team and Board of Directors a letter to share my customer experience with them: https://investor.fitbit.com/governance/management-board-of-directors/default.aspx

I had the same problem with the ionic. The Best Buy store gave me s new Fitbit adidas. After 6 months the adidas died. Best Buy stopped supporting Fitbit products and said go to the Fitbit company to get your money back. Instead they let me roll the value of the adidas into an Apple Watch. Let me tell you after 3 days of using the Apple Watch which is so superior to the Fitbit’s that Fitbit will never catch up.
