Fitbit Ionic on Ebay

I'm seeing "new and unopened" Ionics on ebay considerably cheaper than amazon at the moment.  I don't buy much tech on ebay.  Does buying them through this affect a warranty or customer service, should any problems arise?  Thanks.

no warranty. Fitbit warranty is tied to authorized resellers.

 

(a few tech vendors warranty the device, but not Fitbit)

I see ebay offers their own "warranty for like $11.99 or something.  I'll look into that, or I'll just pay the extra cash and go through a legit dealer.
