Fitbit Ionic recorded BPM after my brother had died

Last month, I was horrified to find my brother deceased in his basement.  As a nurse and by the condition of the body, verification of absence of pulse and respiration and the visible line of demarcation, it was clear he had been gone for several hours.  Imagine my surprise when I logged into his NEW Fitbit Ionic tracking record to see noted BPM's of 113 to 89 to 130 AFTER HE DIED right up until his Fitbit was separated from his phone hours later!!  As if finding my brother and best friend in this condition had not been devastating enough, I now began to question everything.  I called the medics who assured me he was indeed expired for several hours when they arrived that evening.  He was lying on a concrete basement floor and lived alone so there was no chance any movement occurred to cause the watch to mistake it for a heartbeat.  I do not recommend this product.

Hi @Seester,

I can't comment, other than to say I'm very sorry for your loss, and can't imagine what it would be like to find a loved one like that.
