As the title said, everything worked well until this morning when i figured I'd let it update to its new software. Bar went (slowly) to 100%, turned off to reboot, but never turned back on.
I've tried resetting it by keeping the back and bottom buttons pressed for 10s, tried plugging in the cable, not sure what else I could try.
Need help

@vladom Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation you have experienced with Ionic so far after the firmware update. Thanks for trying the restart steps already.
I went ahead and contacted you via PM. Please keep an eye on your Community inbox.
Keep me posted!

Why not post the response publicly? PMing OP means people like me who have a similar issue end up creating duplicate threads and costing fitbit more in support staff time.
This is such a blindingly obvious thing to do, that the fact you don't makes me worry about the average IQ over at Fitbit, or are you hiding from public how broken your watches are?...

A problem like this will require the user to contact fitbit.
I'm curious too , @SantiR since after installing the latest firmware the Ionic would not sync
After exhausting all my normal steps I performed a factory reset and the ionic never turned back on . Even though the battery was at 100%>

Yep you def have a valid point as a large number of users have reported bricking of devices during updates and factory resets. Posting the resolution would help others on this Forum that have similar issues. My suspicion is that most if not all these defective devices are quietly being replaced behind the scenes. Public disclosure would be useful for many that come looking for help on this Forum. That way one could more accurately gauge how broken these devices actually are vs speculating wild guesses.

Hmm? Sounds very familiar to what other users have repeatedly posted.

I'm having the same issue. Battery died last weekend, charged it to 100%, but then it shut off. I cant get it to do anything. I tried all the troubleshooting steps.

Sounds like you are seeing first hand what we told you about in terms of the reliability of the ionic. Maybe you should of been more open and compassionate to those of us whom have gone through several ionics. Oh yeah, and if yours is still umder warranty be prepared to wait a month for your replacement.

I've just had this exact same problem - updated the firmware fine and then reboot okay, then next minute blank screen and since then no possible way to turn it on.
It's 2 months out of warranty (classic) and I've been in contact the Customer Service and made it clear I'll be make a claim here in NZ for a device not fit for purpose in the Small Claims Tribunal.
$500 device craps itself so easily and no clear solution other than replacement.
I notice quite a few pebble only ionics on ebay - there must be a huge refurbishment pathway somewhere.
