Received my new Fitbit yesterday, and it started tracking active minutes with very light activity. Ended up with around 153 for the day, when on a normal day, my usual average is between 50-60 while I’m at the gym. Is this normal? It also did not convert any of my minutes to exercise? The only reason my exercise showed up was because I started the treadmill workout from the Ionic.
So...did I receive a dud? Or is this normal? So far I’m finding it really frustrating!

@carenl, in the Fitbit app change the Wrist Placement setting to the opposite arm - if you have it set to Non-Dominant, change it to Dominant, and vice versa, and then sync the tracker. Don't change where you are wearing it, just change the setting. That will change the sensitivity of the tracker.

Thanks, Larry. I tried this, but it's still tracking active minutes that aren't technically active... And it's also not converting those minutes to exercise. It's really frustrating!!!

Some of those active min. may have been from the delivery truck....mine arrived with 77 active min the day I got it. Even though it's in the box, it can still sense the vibration of the truck. I don't know of any way to remove those min. but at least that may explain why they're so high.
