Fitbit Ionic update won't complete, red cross is on the screen

I recently attempted to update my Ionic I am now left with a nonfunctional watch with a large Red Cross I presume is an error signal. The watch function does not work, I cannot switch to a new watch, and resetting does not solve this issue. Once again a mediocre roll-out and a new cheaper watch roll out!

Are you able to get back to a Clock Face screen?

Did you do a Manual reset or a Factory reset? If you can,do a factory reset. They seem to work.
