Fitbit Ionic will not restart after reset to factory settings

My Ionic stopped syncing on Monday I tried many times to sync today. I then decided to reset the Ionic back to factory settings, but it now has a red cross with the following message:

"Data not cleared Sync and try again"

Try a Restart and do it several times if necessary.

If you can't get it to Restart, contact Customer Support.
