Fitbit Ionic won't turn on or take a charge

I am so annoyed, my Fitbit is like new. I’ve looked after it, never got it wet, don’t even wear it all the time . I don’t often treat myself to such expensive technology but it was my birthday and I did. Last week it died, won’t charge , wouldn’t reset . Contacted the customer support and all the will do it offer me 35% off my next purchase. I don’t want to spend more money I just want a Fitbit that lasts. This is my 3rd Fitbit and all 3 have died around 1.5 years. It’s a joke. They should be built to last the price of them! I will never buy another Fitbit and urge anyone thinking about treating yourself to look elsewhere, I might as well have just bought a cheap tracker as all my Fitbits are ending up in landfill after a ridiculously short time! BAD Bad bad!

Hi @Mrsb2021, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear about the issue that your Ionic experienced. I'm also sorry to hear that it's no longer under the warranty period. The warranty period is good for 365 days, starting from the date of the first setup.

I totally understand how frustrating this is for you and we really appreciate your feedback since this helps us to keep improving.

I'll be around if any question arises.

This is a common fault on this model and has happened to me a few times. Fitbit are of no help whatsoever.

Seem's to be a design flaw, if its off a lonng period of time and there is a firmware update, its nightmare to reset, even hard reset, cleaning of the contacts that they fob you off with.

I'm on again to see if theres anything new on this as mines has doen it yet again I will never purchase another fitbit item ever.
