Fitbit Pay and Cembra Money Bank (Mastercard)

Hello

 

I'm trying to get Fitbit Pay with a Cembra Money Bank (Mastercard) work without success.

 

I can enter all information, see the agreement with the logo from the Cembra Money Bank and can add the creditcard.

 

Device account number is generated.

 

The verification of the card failed and it shows a message to call customer support.

 

I called them but they didn't got any request for verification.

I called the customer service a second time yesterday and this time they were aware of their supported (mobile payment) products.

 

It was never a problem of not being able to add the credit card (as I mentionned already in my previous posts) but a problem to get it activated by the issuer itself.

 

They have finally activated it yesterday and it works.

Mastercard is not supported in my bank, though Visa is. I dont know if Mastercard is not supported at all or whether it is just with some banks. Could be the reason though.

Hi @SunsetRunner you don't say what country you're in but looking at the supported banks list, I see that Cembra is supported in Switzerland, so assuming that's where you are. If not then you'll have a problem 🙂

 

What I suggest as a starter is delete any info you might have put in about the card, force quit the app, restart your phone (what are you using) and try and enter the details again.

Yes, they are on the supported banks list, otherwise I wouldn't have tried Smiley Wink

 

I already removed, rebooted and added the card 6 times (each time a new device account number was generated) and the result was always the same.

 

Something in the verification process between fitbit and Cembra Money Bank seems not work and I obviously can't fix it as customer Smiley Frustrated

@SunsetRunner Have you checked with your bank that mastercard is supported? As I said with my bank, Visa is, but Mastercard is not. I also got a verrification failure message.

The Cembra Money Bank issues only Mastercards.

Hi Epic, I hope you understand german, as I have an explanation for you, if not let us know, but it seams you are on the right way, eventually make sure you have WIFI and Bluetooth switched on, this below the basic instruction, hope it helps

 

Füge mindestens eine Kreditkarte zum Wallet-Bereich der Fitbit App hinzu: 

  1. Tippe oder klicke auf dem Dashboard der Fitbit-App auf das Kontosymbol dein Gerätebild (Ionic).
  2. Tippe oder klicke auf die Kachel Wallet
  3. Befolge die Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm, um eine Karte hinzuzufügen. In einigen Fällen kann deine Bank eine zusätzliche Verifizierung benötigen. Wenn du zum ersten Mal eine Karte hinzufügst, wirst du aufgefordert, einen 4-stelligen PIN-Code für deine Uhr einzurichten (falls du dies nicht bereits getan hast). Bitte beachte, dass zudem Touch-ID oder ein PIN-Code auf dem Smartphone eingerichtet sein muss.
  4. Nachdem du eine Karte hinzugefügt haben, befolge die Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm, um Benachrichtigungen für dein Smartphone zu aktivieren, um die Einrichtung abzuschließen (falls du dies nicht bereits getan hast).

 

  1. Die Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen der Cembra Money Bank müssen akzeptiert werden. 

Sobald dies gemacht worden ist, bitte Cembra Money Bank Kundendienst für die Aktivierung der Karte im Wallet anrufen unter 044 439 40 20.

How did the activate it? I called them two times today and no one could help me. What did you say to them to solve the problem and get the activation?

I just removed and added the card again, the verify button appeared under the card, called them and said the app askes for a verification by customer service.

 

They told me this would need further measures and they would call me back once it's done.

 

Same day in the evening it was activated in the app and they never called back 🙂
