Fitbit accuracy

Ever since G purchased Fitbit the accuracy has been terrible. I have contacted customer support numerous times and have done everything they asked me to do. Tuesday went on a hour and half bike ride, Fitbit said I did 0.00. Today I did a run on a track. I did four miles, Fitbit said I did 3. Anyone else having problems since the acquisition last November. I’m fed up.

I'm afraid I can't really help with your accuracy issues but can say that it's not down to the Google purchase of Fitbit as that deal has not yet gone through (it was announced in November but it has yet to get regulatory approval) but it should complete sometime this year.

I have to say I've never really understood how a pedometer like a fitbit is supposed to track something that is not step based like cycling so I'm not surprised you have issues with that. But I would expect running to be just the thing it was designed for. Were you using GPS - I'm wondering if the issue is with GPS tracking or just an issue with your step count and/or stride length?
