Fitbit app in KJ but watch in calories

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My app recently updated to include the KJ option for energy. However my watch has not followed suit. So my watch is saying "1,824 cal" and my app is saying "1,842 KJ". I want my watch to also show KJ to keep it consistent with the metric system. Is there a way of updating the watch to display KJ?

I'm the opposite, I want calories not kilojoules on my phone...why don't we have a choice? if we do, how do we change it?

If you go into advanced settings and then units on your app you should be able to change it.

Unfortunately no such option on my phone (android) or PC.

This is still an issue, with no response from Fitbit. Units in the app are set to kJ (and have been for months) but watch and dashboard are still in calories with seemingly no way of changing them.

Why is Fitbit having so much trouble with a simple conversion factor? Surely it's not too much to ask for the units on the watch to be consistent with the app - if you're going to offer a choice of units then do it properly!

Same issue here. I’ve set my app to kJ but my Fitbit HR Inspire only displays calories on the device. When I change measurement units in the app, surely this change should reflect on the device too? Now I’m stuck using metric system  in the app and imperial units on the device. This is so unnecessary. Please fix!

Yep, got kJ on app as desired, but not on charge 3 ... any tips? I’m new here 😏

The only tip I have is to keep shouting about it!

It’s been months an no response from Fitbit on what should be a very simple conversation.

I’m flummoxed that they don’t seem to be able to fix this. It’s basic user interface design.

Clearly it’s always amateur hour at Fitbit HQ... 🙄

Should - but it doesn't seem to work that way. Charge 3 seems to have a mind of its own, and just likes to be in Calories - when the rest of the world uses kilojoules
