Fitbit giving trouble

I bought my Fitbit Ionic in July 2017 and it has become a part of my everyday lifestyle. It has never given me problems but since I swam for the first time with it (about a week ago) it is giving me trouble.

Tonight it started receiving notifications which were not being received on my phone, it started moving from option to option without me touching the screen, it doesn't charge and the battery lasts for a maximum of 1 day, it started vibrating for no reason until I eventually had to shut it down (after which it rebooted by itself again).

Please could someone advise me on what I should do and who I should contact to fix this or get a new watch. Should I be taking it back to Makro (the store i bought it at)?  I am very dependent on it and it has made me very sad to see that it is broken.

Be prepared,  I had two fail because of faulty design within 12 months.  I also have two friends whom both of their ionics failed slightly out of warranty.   Your watch made it like a year and half!  That is a world record I think for an ionic.  Consider yourself blessed.

@Catri I'm sorry for the sudden issues you are experiencing. You might first try to reset your Ionic (see link).

If doesn't work I would suggest to proceed with factory reset and, as final resort, to contact Fitbit Support (here)
