Fitbit ionic black screen no display not recording heart rate

I noticed after taking my dog for a walk let my Fitbit Ionic screen was blank dark no display. I read several blogs and attempted the reset holding both the left and right buttons the Fitbit logo displayed for a second and I charged it overnight. This is day 2 and still nothing displays on the screen. I go to the Fitbit app on my phone and it's not recording either. I had a workout yesterday and it didn't record any of the exertion heartbeat. Can anyone offer some insight I've only had this for 3 months it was an expensive purchase

It's great to see you around @Cwilk! Thank you for the details that you've mentioned. I appreciate the troubleshooting that you've performed in order to fix your Ionic.
