Fitbit ionic crashing

My fitbit ionic keeps crashing when I play music and use the GPS running app. I love using my Fitbit normally, but am finding this quite frustrating.

 

I am soon starting training for a half marathon - it would be great if it could be sorted by then 😊

A warm welcome to the Community @Sandie2019! I appreciate the details that you've mentioned. It's so great to hear that you're using your Ionic to train for a marathon. 

 

I would like you to provide me with more details about what you're experiencing: 

 

- How long are you running the exercises?

- Have you tried manually logging the exercise?

- Does it happen if you only use the exercise option and not the music control?

Hi silviafitbit,

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

My usual runs vary from 7 km to 18 km - the fitbit sometimes restarts after 1 km or after 12..

Undortunaly I can't log on the exercise manually as I am using the GPS of the fitbit to work out the distance..

I did try a run on Monday using the running app without playing music through Deezer and it did not crash but obviously the thought of running long distances without music makes me sad! 

I have been so excited to train with my new device - I love running and I love music - the fitbit ionic seemed the perfect choice..
