Fitbit (or other trackers) are really bad in counting calorie use: BBC

When walking, Fitbit is not at all accurate in counting calories: an overestimate of 50%...

In medicine, for measuring the calorie use of somebody, we need to make a blood analysis, also it is necessary to measure components in the air that the person breathed out. Etc...

So it’s really normal that Fitbit or any another ‘simple’ device can’t measure the calorie use of a person.

It’s also very difficult to tell something about the quality of the sleep of a person...

I think it’s important we all know that. Don’t take the results very seriously of your device!

I have a Fitbit Ionic since January 2018. It’s my 4th now, during my warranty of 2 years. I hope this one lasts much longer. Updates are dangerous!
