Fitbit stats on Ionic and Charge 2 change after sync

The stats on my Ionic and on my husband's Charge 2 keep changing after syncing. Yesterday we walked 10 miles, I then worked hard in the garden for over an hour. By late afternoon my watch said I'd done over 27k steps, 2500 kcal and 268 active minutes. I synced it, and that changed to 1700 kcal and 40 active minutes (steps didn't change). My husband's active minutes dropped to just 4. This has happened a few times in the last few weeks - what's going on?

And again today. Was at 2399 kcal a few minutes ago, synced, now down to 2069.

Hi @Sugar-Bun, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums.

Thanks for the details shared in your post. I understand your concern and recommend checking if you have any third party app connected to your Fitbit accounts. Sometimes the information from the third party app overrides the information recorded by your Fitbit devices, and this can result in losing the active minutes and changing your stats.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have Strava and Peloton linked to my fitbit. However, when this happens the stats on my fitbit are lower than on Strava. Why does it make the calories and active minutes go down please?
