Fitbit will not connect to sky Q wifi

Hello.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help with a problem i am having with the fitbit ionic?

Since we changed router to sky Q i have been unable to get my watch to connect to the wi fi.  I have read that the issue is something to do with the sky bandwiths of 2.4 and 5.0 being on the same channel and causing the problems of failing to connect.

Its frustrating as i have been able to use wi fi at other houses but the music which i have via the deezer app dissapears after a week due to the wi fi not connecting on sky q.

Is there a sollution to this problem? Apart from changing broadband provider?

Many thanks

@Nealjones84 Welcome to the Community. Thanks for letting me know that you've changed your router to Sky Q.

Your Fitbit watch can connect to open, WEP, WPA personal, and WPA2 personal Wi-Fi networks. Your watch won’t connect to 5GHz, 802.11ac, WPA enterprise, or public Wi-Fi networks that require logins, subscriptions, or profiles. If you see a captive portal when connecting to the Wi-Fi network on a computer, the network isn’t supported. A captive portal opens a web page in your browser and could ask for a username and password, payment, or acceptance of terms. This is commonly found when connecting to Wi-Fi networks in hotels, airports, coffee shops, and other public places. For best results, connect your watch to your home or work Wi-Fi network. Make sure you know the network password before connecting.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

A bit late responding but came across this post as I was having the same issue after upgrading to the Sky Hub 4. I've finally succeeding in connecting my Versa by setting a fixed IP under address reservation on the LAN TCP/IP Setup page to the MAC address of the watch (Settings/About).
