Fitbit will not update

I have a Firmware update available and every time I try to start the update, it says there is Bluetooth Issues.  I restart the Bluetooth and nothing happens.  I'm also not getting text notifications.  I have a Moto Z Play phone.

A whole bunch of other users are experiencing the same. I expected this, and have not even tried to update. I'm still 2 versions behind because it is too risky to update this Ionic. Software is lousy.
