Fitbit won't charge or turn on after swimming

Basically as it says on the tin. Have had this watch for around 1.5 years, been great so far and have swum with it before. Now, it will not charge or turn on! Warranty will not fix as it is outside the warranty limit. If you advertise a watch as waterproof, and it breaks when in water, then you should replace it for free!

Hi @PhantFala  the Ionic is water resistant to 50 meters, according to the user manual. It's not listed as being waterproof.

Stepping in the U.S.A. since September 2013. Android 14

Well yes, bad word choice on my part, but if they advertise it to 50m, and it breaks at less than 5, there is something wrong!

Hi @PhantFala. Welcome to the Community Forums. @Odyssey13, thanks for stopping by and helping our members. I'm sorry for the delayed response.

@PhantFala, thanks for bringing this to my attention and I'm sorry that you've gone through this experience. Before anything else, please let me explain that every Fitbit product is covered by our warranty and our team will issue a replacement as long as it falls within the conditions described in the Warranty Policy. While I don't have access to your case, let me suggest to reply back to the last email sent by our Support team so you can receive more information about their resolution.

Additionally since you mentioned that your Ionic won't charge or turn on, if you've not done so please give a try to the troubleshooting steps described in this help article.

I'll be around if you have any other question.
