Fitbit won't go past the blue dots screen

My son's fitbit was not near a phone for a few weeks and now won't go past the blue dots screen. It just keeps blinking. 

We tried resetting it but it didn't work either. Any ideas?

Hi @SunsetRunner welcome aboard. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, let me help you out with your son's Ionic device.

 

I'd like to begin appreciating your time and efforts troubleshooting this prior posting. For me to provide you with better assistance, can you please let me know if with the blue dots screen you mean the Fitbit logo screen when you turn on the device? If so, please let me know if the logo blinks and remains on the Ionic screen or if it blinks just for a while and then the device turns off?
