GPS Tracking - always saying "Connecting"

The last 2 times I have been on a run, I select run and wait for the GPS to say "connected". Once this is up, I start > . I am noticing that during the run it keeps saying "Connecting". At the end of the run, the stats seem ok however the map hasn't been accurate - yesterday it showed that I ran across properties not on the street course I was on!!!! Suggestions??

I had my first encounter with this behavior yesterday. GPS said "Connected" I felt the buzz and started the run. As I rounded my first turn I noticed the run app now indicated "Connecting...".

I stopped my run and attempted to reconnect to GPS. After 5 minutes I reset my Ionic and then it connected GPS almost instantly and I started a new run which completed without any noticed GPS disconnection issues.

I have had the same issue for 2 weeks now.  It really chews up the battery time.
