GPS battery life and charging

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So it says:

Battery life lasts up to five days with a GPS battery life of up to 10 hours. We recommend charging your Fitbit Ionic every few days to ensure you're always tracking. Battery life and charge cycles vary with use and other factors; actual results will vary.

Does this mean if my GPS actively is tracking I need to charge it every 10 hours?

Yes, that's exactly what it means. GPS use eats up power.

@FrenchHugs Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for your question regarding battery life on Ionic when using GPS.

Yes, if you are using GPS for 10 hours the battery will drain. Therefore, you will need to charge your watch again. Are you using GPS every day for 10 hours?

Also, please check these tips to maximize your Ionic's battery life. You should find this helpful.
