GPS lost signal during run

Dear Fitbit community,

 

I have an Ionic with firmware version 27.33.1.130 that has worked great for 12 activities so far. However, the GPS lost signal during my run this morning and I was unable to recover the signal even when I stopped and paused the activity. I have subsequently been able to reconnect to the GPS, but I am wondering why the GPS dropped and whether it could be a faulty ionic unit? It is unlikely that the buildings or anything in the area interfered with the signal because it worked on the same road earlier that morning. The below image indicates where the GPS signal was lost, but it should have connected back to the start.

Hi @JMHulbert ,

 

I had that happen a couple of times. It seemed to just be a temporary glitch. At the advice of someone here, I started performing a restart on the Ionic once a week, and the problem didn't reoccur. Please give it a try and let us know if that fixed it.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!
