Dors anybody else have an issue with GPS not connecting on thier Ionic. Mine is 8 months old. It used to connect straight away when I went for a run. Now it keeps saying connecting.....connecting and will not connect? I don't live in a hugely built up area and it used to be fine. Any ideas??

Dear Marre,
The problem with your response is that those are all issues one would presumably have had from the start. However the common thread in this thread is that all of our Ionics worked perfectly for an initial period until they encountered this problem. For many of us it was after a software update. Since Apple was found to have slowed down its phones a cynic would find it easy to also believe Fitbit is trying to get me to replace my watch. Very disappointing.

My daughter and I have the same watch. We were standing side-by-side in our driveway getting ready to go out for a walk, her watch connected immediately, mine never did. It's terrible that this simple function does not work properly. I may have to buy an Apple!

what exactly do you mean "restarted ionic". Are you somehow powering your watch off and then back on?

Hi all, I had this problem for ages and couldn’t work it out. Did everything suggested here with no luck.
THEN I saw a small comment someone made about their watch strap. I was using a third party watch strap that was causing the issue. I put the Fitbit original rubberised strap back on and the GPS started working again straight away. So... if you’re using a non-fitbit watch strap, put the original one back on. Worked for me.
