GPS slow to connect (if at all) and keeps dropping out

About 2 weeks ago my Ionic's GPS started misbehaving: it is incredibly slow to connect if it connects at all, and when I'm running it keeps dropping out and often doesn't reconnect whether I stop moving or not. At times the maps are, uh, interesting to say the least. I tried resetting it but it hasn't improved. I did a quick scan of the forum and saw people mentioning the watch not knowing where it is, or it getting confused by movement, but my runs are always one of two places in my neighbourhood and I stand still while waiting for the initial connection. Fearing this may warrant a repair. Anyone else have this happen and, most importantly, find a solution?

Yes my ionic has this slow or no GPS connection as well even I'm in the great outdoor. This is unacceptable to say the least. Plz fix this important function asap FITBIT.

My Ionic stopped connecting to GPS about a week ago.  I thought I'd add to your comment to let Fitbit know the scale of this issue.  I loved my Ionic, I bought it to run a marathon and it worked a treat during my training, then dropped the GPS during the event itself.  I had no idea what pace I was running and had to check with other runners while I ran - gutted!  That was  4 months ago and it seemed to fix itself?

Now it's stopped connecting again.  Nothing.  No idea whats changed.  Reset the watch, waited outside in the cold till I'm blue... nothing.  I've lost two runs that should have counted against a Strava challenge.

Unless I see a positive response in the near future, I'm sorry Fitbit but I'm shopping for a new brand.
