How do I get the GPS? That is one of the three reasons why I bought the ionic for.

While using the Exercise app, swipe to your type of exercise (run, bike, hike, walk, interval..etc), then click on the gear icon on the upper left corner of your watch. From that menu, scroll down until you see GPS, click on the GPS to toggle it on and off. Press the left button to get back to the exercise. Then you can click on the icon to enter the tracking interface. Wait for the GPS icon (top left corner) to become connected, and you can start tracking with GPS on.
Note that GPS is not available for automatically tracked walking/running/biking.

Thank you for your quick response. But Why isn’t it available for walking? No where in the advertisement does it state that. I like walking and I cannot run anymore for health reasons. Like I said before that is one of the main reasons why I bought this watch. So, now I wasted $300 of my hard owed money that I really didn’t have. Thanks Fitbit for nothing. I guess it’s true what they say about seeing a sucker coming. Where will not be a next time.

It is available to track walking. If you don't see this as one of your activities in your exercise app on your Ionic, you will need to use a web browser to log into your fitbit account. Upon logging in, click on the gear icon on the top right of the page -> select Ionic . Then click on the Exercise Shortcuts and you should see a list of activities currently available for tracking. Click on edit and make sure Walk is one of the 7 available exercises for tracking. Then allow your Ionic to sync with your phone app again. You should now have Walk as an activity in Ionic exercise app. From there on, you can click on the gear icon to enter the submenu to toggle GPS on/off.
GPS is just not available when exercise is tracked via automatic exercise detection.
