Getting Simplified Sleep Instead Of Sleep Stages

A couple weeks ago I wasn’t getting sleep stages and noticed there was an update but my IOS App didnt show there was an update.  I did a factory reset and then was able to do the update and it started working normal again.  Woke up this morning and i got Simplified Sleep tracking again.

@Allroadchiver Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with sleep stages. Thanks for performing the factory reset in order to update your watch.

There are some situations in which you may not get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the "Begin Sleep Now" option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information about why you see your sleep pattern, tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Yeah this didnt help.  I checked the reasons why it may have given me simplified sleep instead if sleep stages and non if them apply.  I wear my Ionic snug not loose and it was over 3hrs and i did not select start sleep log or whatever.

I am having the same issue after updating to version 32.10.15. My sleep tracker has worked quite well up until a couple of days ago after updating. It’s also telling me it couldn’t get a consistent heart rate reading but I have worn the tracker the exact same way for 5 months now. And no, I don’t do the start sleep thing, just auto track the sleep. And my battery level is fine. Any help would be appreciated.
