For those interested in chest strap compatibility for the Ionic, please go to the SDK page and vote for the topic asking if anyone is willing to design it written by @Matt1171

I'm pretty lazy to go searching for that. But I bet if you post a link to the post ...more people would be willing to do so just for the ease of convienence

@Bunnybear_05 You are probably right but I don’t know how to do it. Let me see if one of my kids can help me out, haha 😆

There are times when a chest strap is essential. For walking/running/etc, anything steady state, an optical heart rate tracker does fine. You throw in weights and any other kind of functional fitness, it will go to crap. Hoping someones does make connecting a chest strap a reality to the Ionic.

Right now, Fitbit does not allow apps to access Bluetooth. And Fitbit does not allow importing HR. It is simply not possible for 3rd parties to add support for chest straps.
For this his to be supported, Fitbit will need to add the feature, or open up HR/Bluetooth to developers.
