I went swimming in the ocean yesterday. I had read that the ionic can be used while swimming in the ocean. However after my swim, the watch continues to work ok but all the hardware buttons have stopped working and nothing happens when i press them. The touchscreen continues to work fine. As instructed in the forums, I did wash my watch with fresh water after swimming to clear out salt.
Also the watch has started to misbehave at times - like it suddenly shows me notifications every few mins or suddenly launches exercise app (which was basically the shortcut button did). I have bought the ionic just 6-7 months back and love it in general and was sad to see it not working after my maiden ocean swim with it.
