Having two trackers on one account

Have had an Ionic for over 3 years and added a Charge 2 just for sleep data about 2 years ago.  Both devices coexisted without a problem on my FB account all this time.

Decided to upgrade my Charge 2 to a Charge 4 I got on sale.  When trying to add it to my FB app account somehow wound up replacing my Ionic and all the data from the past 3 years!!! Now I cannot get my Ionic to connect with the app. Completely baffled and angry.

Hi Johnny, thanks for your response.  Having successfully paired the Charge 2 an Ionic on my Fitbit account for nearly 3 years without trouble I never considered that upgrading to a Charge 4 would be a problem.  There was a dialog box that said something about 'replacing' the Ionic with the C4 but I didn't think I selected that option...obviously wrong.

The Ionic is a much better tracker/smartwatch so I'd prefer to keep that device on my account.  I deleted the Charge 4 but for whatever reason couldn't get the Ionic reconnected.  Once I re-connected the old Charge 2 my data was visible again on the app and I was able to connect a backup Ionic to my account the next day without difficulty.  Just waiting for the firmware update so I can get the SpO2 function back.  Gave the C4 to my wife.  Appreciate your help.

See Can I use more than one Fitbit device with the same account? , particularly the entry in the blue box.  Charge 2 and Ionic can coexist, but not Charge 4 and Ionic.  When you added Charge 4, it probably asked if you wanted to replace the Ionic.

But you should not have lost any data.  The data is all stored on Fitbit computers by your Fitbit ID/email.  As long as you are logged into the app with the same ID you were using, data should still be there.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
