Hi
I just got a fitbit Ionic. I have Jabra bluetooth headset which works fine with my old watch (Adidas smartrun) but with the Ionic it just cuts out every few seconds for a brief moment and then continues. It's really impossible to listen to music with it.
I have tried all the advice on the forum about switching off and reconnecting and I have also done a full factory reset. The headphones work fine with other devices (phones and old watch) so it's really a Ionic issue.
I am considering returning them as the main reason I purchased this watch was to listen to music whilst I train (without the need for a phone).
Anyone else solved this issue?!
Best AnswerUpdate: these are Jabra Coach headphones. I tried my work headset (JAbra evolve 75 which works ok). So the situation is:
- other devices work fine with the Jabra coach
- Ionic works with other headsets
But the Ionic doesn't work with Jabra coach ... wierd!
Best AnswerNot really weird, every device and headset has a differing quality/power/sensitivity of Bluetooth radio. Every pairing is different, and will end with differing results in audio quality.
I have wireless ear buds that work fine with everything I pair them with (multiple phones, a Macbook Pro and a Chromebook) except my Ionic when running. The swinging of my arm causes the signal to be blocked by my body.

Thanks for the reply. I should have specified that this is not when I run ( as I realise that there can be a connection issue if your arm moves out of range). This issue happens when the Ionic and earbuds are right next to each other and static. It's a very regular cutout like every 3 secs for a second so it seems like there's something else causing the issue of incompatibility.
Best AnswerFor anyone else with a similar issue ... a firmware upgrade on the Jabra Coach did the trick. Much forgetting and reconnecting of earbuds required after that. Seems like that is required every time they are used
Best AnswerWell now it doesn't pair with the headphones at all! Have unpaired and reset everything but it sees them as a device but won't actually connect. Headphones in pairing mode for sure but it just is stuck trying to connect. Honestly for a device that the USP is that it plays music it really sucks that it is so hard to get it to do the basics. Am considering returning it
