Heart Rate isn't working on my Ionic

I have an iconic for a year or so. The Iconic heart monitor all of a suddenly stopped working. 

The green light is there and blinking, but it doesn't register on the watch (or the app for that matter).

I've restarted it numerous times, turned off the heart rate in settings and then restarted, I've even done factory reset. 

 

Is it just broken now? WTF? I noticed my heart rate measure stopped in the middle of exercising.

Hi, I’m having a very similar problem. The HR monitor fluctuates wildly minute to minute.
