So I purchased my Ionic on June 30th and I've been extremely happy, however this past Saturday August 5the was the first time my battery died because I forgot to charge it.
After charging it and turning it back on, the heart rate monitor would no longer provide readings even though the green sensor light blinks normally. The screen also no longer turns on automatically when performing a "look at your watch gesture" . It will only turn on when a button is pressed.
I have attempted every possible work around including a full factory reset of the Ionic, un-pairing from the phone, recalibration of the sensor, and trying multiple watch faces both first and third party.
I also made sure that the heart rate monitor was actually turned on multiple times.
I strongly believe the watch is defective and would like a replacement. The issue is I've moved to another country for work since purchasing the Ionic and can't return it to the store it was originally purchased (Best Buy Canada).
Where can I mail my defective Ionic in mainland Europe (The Netherlands) with a copy of my original receipt.
My phone is a Sony Xperia and I was using the latest version of the Fitbit app for Android.
I'm hoping customer service will resolve this quickly.
