Can you explain what you mean by "have acknowledged their service"? If anything, that sounds like a good thing to me.

I had a similar issue a few days ago.
Ended up removing my Ionic from the app, deleted the BT connection and factor reset a few times.
Once that was done, I reconnected and the HR etc have been working.
However, it does seem to randomly auto-reply to messages, or open apps without me touching it...
