When starting a walk or run my Ionic almost always reports a high HR for the first portion, then snaps down to my actual HR. It’s like it is syncing to a higher rate due to the HR tracking algorithms, but finally corrects itself. This has been consistent on my first Ionic (had it for 3 years) and the new one I just replaced it with. Sometimes I can take it off and put it back on and it will correct itself.

Hi @dfwvol, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? Is this occurring with every exercise or just with a specific one? Also and since the heart rate tracking corrects itself, for how long do you experience this? Just minutes or, for example, half of your activity? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try our restart process.
Looking forward to your reply.
