Heart rate while running

When I go for a run with the ionic the heart rate records around 200 for the first 10-15 minutes before settling down to around 130 for the rest of my hour run. This never happened with the surge.

I know now where to wear the ionic. Again I never had this problem with the surge.

could it be due to the slightly different shape or the new sensor?

Hi @allan473   That’s odd... I’ve been finding mine pretty accurate and consistent with prior trackers. Below is from my ru  earlier today  how snugly do you wear your tracker?

Thanks for posting.

I wear it snug enough - just like I did with the Surge and my Garmin. I use a sweatband to make sure it is a few inches about my wrist bone.

Here are my last two runs with the Iconic. Below it is a typical run with the Surge.

That Avg heart rate seems a bit high for a 9:44 avg pace.

I was expecting the Ionic to provide something like your bottom graph.  If you wear it about 2 inches above your wrist bone... how do you keep it there... that also seems a bit uncomfortable.
